Hi, from SatanArise, we want to thank you the time you waste on us. Lacrimas Profundere will came to Spain in a few days with some bands of this country in Madrid, Barcelona and Murcia.

What do you expect from this Spanish tour?

TONY: We expect the best. We wanna give the fans and us a good and honest show with a lot of ROCK, GOTHIC and METAL. So, we hope our spanish fans are prepaired to celebrate with us those events. And I expect that Oliver is sober!
OLIVER: I´ll do my best! Yeah it´s a while and we really can´t wait! It´s our fifth time in your wonderful country and always a pleasure! We expect loud and enthusiastic fans like the last time in Spain!

For the people on Spain that never see you, what can they expect about your live show? How it is a Lacrimas Profundere gig?

TONY: Our fans can expect a very good old school rock show, no screens, no pyros just the band, the fans and the music, a close connection. Don´t miss it!!!
OLIVER: dark, loud, catchy and heavy and a packed setlist with hopefully all our classics

Three days and a lot of kms on Spain. Are you coming from another country tour? And after that will you do in another country again?

TONY: To be honest we would love to do more dates over there and will come as soon as possible again. What people don´t see there is a lot of politics behind it and it´s not soo easy for everyone like our tourmanagers in spain to fix everything but also for us. We will come home after that, a few days off and then going to china for our first shows there. For me personally, i always enjoy time in spain and meet our fans there. Friendly people everywhere and because of that the shows have a lot of energy.
OLIVER: Yeah, we do the pre-production soon after the tour in Spain, then going to China and in May to Brazil. We need to do the summerfestivals in Germany in August and in October we start the Tour through Europe, no time to breath in 2012!

You said your music as “Rock and Sad”. Are you agree with the tag “gothic metal”?

TONY: Of course, you can call it whatever you want. We come from different directions of music, so everyone puts a little bit of his personal influences. That can be from the DOORS, 69 EYES, KATATONIA, BILLY IDOL and even metal bands like IN FLAMES. We just wanna do music and when you do it like that, the fans will apreciate.
OLIVER: take 4 crazy guys, a bottle Absinth and meet them on Skid row show 15 years ago with Pantera, Him and Sentenced as support acts and start a band next day. I think that’s what RocknSad means to us!

How it is the evolution of the sound of the band?

TONY: Yes, there was a change within the style. Some fans are pissed because of it and we understand this. But we grow older and we had a lot of experience in life with many things, so it also affects our music.
OLIVER: we had one leg still in the daylight of rock and metal scene, but then the other leg was going to the melancholic doom sound, so we are dancing with shadows, but we are not escaping the daylight.

Do you know any band from Spain?

TONY: Unfortunately not really. I know band called WARCRY by name but not their material. But i remember a few of our support bands we had in spain where very, very good. I would love to see a Metal band who have also a Flamenco guitarist. That would be awesome...
OLIVER: I know the KILLER BARBIES

Next year Lacrimas Profundere will celebrate your twenty birthday. Any special event, tour or relaease to celebrate it?

TONY: Oh my good! Really? I´m just 7 years in the band now but i guess there should be some special and great events for it. We will think about that and let you know.
OLIVER: YEAH 20 years, can´t believe that! I´m getting old! We have some ideas to celebrate a fantastic party including special re-releases of the first two records but it´s not official yet, but we plan something very special.

What do you think about internet for the music. Is it a help for the promotion of the bands and the diffusion of the music, or it’s an easy way for piracy and “killing” the bands?

TONY: Both i guess. Young bands have the chance to present themselves very well cause of facebook and other platforms. Even the major record companys have people who are searching in the internet for new talents. On the other side it is not so easy for band like us who could earn lots more money like 25 years ago.
OLIVER: yes, both: or better it was! internet is great if you want to get informations about a band or check out their latest songs. If you like what you hear: buy it! I think a long time ago the internet could help young bands but actual the internet is flooded with informations like the color of the undertrouses of Georg Clooney and it´s hard to find what you really looking for! I don´t think that a good artist discovered only by the internet nowdays! About the piracy: often it destroys bands and most often the quality suffers because the labels don´t have enough money for the best recording studio, the best advertising and a good, relaxed atmosphere.

Some words for your fans here on Spain…

TONY: Can´t wait to come over and party with you guys...it will be fantastic as always!!!!!!!
OLIVER: thanx a lot for buying the concerttickets to our gigs, our records, Shirts and support the band: you are the reason that we still exist! Spain rocks!
