Review
Contrabanda history dates back to 2005 under the auspices of Robert Shy (drums) and Soto (bass). Not until 2007 when he closes the triangle instrumental Juankar entry on guitars. After trying out several singers, the band is finally completed in mid 2009 with the signing of Javi, whose vocal range is what I was looking for the group. After several months touring the circuit of theaters in Madrid in early 2010 known music producer Emilio Mercader (purposely, Desperation, Peter Andrea, Cool, Surge), engaging in the project as a component.
With desire and illusion in April and May get into IDEMM studies Madrid town of Parla the recording, mixing and mastering their debut album, always under the watchful eye of Emilio, who is a crucial part of the excellent sound achieved in this work. Were careful presentation of the disc to be in the form of digilibro digipack or rather as it is of considerable size, and the find the lyrics and many drawings and photographs.
Certainly not to confuse this group with the accompanying formerly of The Fugue, now known by Rulo y la Contrabanda.
And we will find in this album Trece, so much rock in its many expressions. Live rock "Tus mentiras" between Burning hard rock and Los Rodriguez "No quiero volverte a ver" pop rock "Mañana," alternative rock "Para ti", rock and roll guitar in "Sabes hacerlo bien" adrenalin and unbridled rock in "Revolución" or seventies rock flavored with "Fuera de mi piel".
My favorite of the album is "Rock n roll", which as its name says is a shot of rock and roll guitar and a statement of intent to go through life as best as possible. I also like when they become senses and intimate as in "Mirala," which begins quietly gained strength to go and once they put cane alternating with fast parts slow. Another issue with the same structure is "No hacemos nada" where acoustic parts interspersed with other guitarfish. The ballads on the album are "No hay" and "Te olvidaré" precious item on the purpose of the protagonist to forget love.
An album that will appeal to rockers-looking, if you are at heart more heavy rain axes that a proposal will seem too soft.
