Arrival Of The Red Sun is the third album of Swedish Zonaria, after four years of silence. Change in training, is now dealing Max Malmer Bass, and seal change, have signed by France's Listenable Records and these Zonaria defined as "the saviors of the Swedish death metal." Perhaps too pompous words from the pen of a publicist wanting to cause controversy to draw attention to the band. Not whether to save the Swedish death metal, if they needed to be saved, but making it clear Arrival Of The Red Sun, is that you must stay with the name Zonaria if you like melodic death metal.
From the first track, Arrival Of The Red Sun is an album of death metal with aggressive guitars, very melodic, perfectly blending strength, anger and feelings equally, a battery with a resounding and overwhelming very torn grunts and deep impregnate you in constant pain to listen.
Highlights the variety of itracks, away from all compositional linearity and alternating heaviness, speed, melody and even symphonic moments without ever sounding too overloaded.
A Lullaby For Thos Still Alive unceremoniously opens the album with a heavy beat and forceful, with fast guitars already Zonaria glimpse that hardness is not only free packaging. Something more aggressive, but with more elaborate and striking guitars second cut named the album, Arrival Of The Red Sun continues the trend mercada with the first cut.
Desert Storm and My Face Justice are clear examples of the variety in the album, the latter cut is much deeper and darker than the original, with slower tempos, and including more clean vocals in the chorus where each change of pace is hit in the face.
Another change of registration is Full Spectrum Dominance in which we find quite pleasant surprises many, the initial rtimo is very intense, giving free rein to speed and with a flavor very different groups could be Zonaria as Finntroll and the introduction of a very precise and subtle keyboards. Another issue to consider is Liberation Zero, more like Arch Enemy, with guitars that are unchecked for sporadic riffs between riff and riff with a catchy chorus in counterpoint with the rest of this song.
My Vengeance is the high point in the story to Symphony Arrival Of The Red Sun, with a slight taste of Dimmu Borgir which together with the final cut The Blood That Must Be Paid containing a keyboard that creates an atmosphere that differs from the rest cuts, but still have the grip and intensity characteristic of Zonaria.
Recorded at Abyss Studios by Jonas Kjellgren and mixed by Ronnie Bjornstrom in Garageland Studios, the Arrival Of The Red Sun is all a great album of melodic death you should not let pass by.
If they will not save anyone, but Arrival Of The Red Sun is a big step ahead of Zonaria, more mature, stronger and full of details that make Zonaria be taken into account when speaking of melodic death.
